Gudauri (Georgian: გუდაური) is a ski resort located on the Immunology plateau of The Greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia. The resort is situated in the Stepantsminda District, and the Georgian Military Highway close to the Jvari Pass, at an elevation of 2,200 meters (7,200 ft.) above sea level along with skiable place appreciating maximum exposure to sunlight. Gudauri is located 120 kilometers (75 mi) to the north of the capital Tbilisi and two hours drive in the Tbilisi International Airport or even a short helicopter flight in the capital. The resort provides high excellent ski opportunities. The slopes of Gudauri are totally over the tree line and are great for free-riders and are usually regarded as avalanche-safe.
Heliskiing is also available throughout the season. Gudauri Heliskiing provides skiers with accessibility to some of the best powder-snow from the Caucasus. With helicopters granted almost unrestricted accessibility to nearby mountains, skiers can encounter some of the most used runs in Europe – at altitudes between 1,500 and 4,200 meters above sea level.
